Shawn T's Story
In High School I was friendly but distant. I was a bit introverted and somewhat shy. I never joined any teams and I never hung out in the cafeteria and I didn't have any close friends. High school to me was a very scary time in my life because I was very uncomfortable in my skin.
After High School I attended SUNY at Plattsburgh but after 1 semester, I decided I needed to get away so I joined the Navy.
I served 7 years and had some great times. I was stationed in Puerto Rico for 2 years, Bermuda for 2 years, Annapolis Naval Academy for 1 year and the remaining 2...Expand for more
years in Jacksonville, Florida. I married, divorced, had three daughters, married again and am now a widow.
After the Navy I completed my Associates Degree in Paramus, New Jersey; completed my Bachelors degree in Business Administration while living in Richmond, VA.
I now reside in Teaneck, NJ and am a Payroll supervisor for a Law firm in NYC. However, due to Covid, I happily work from home.
Life has been an adventure and I have no regrets. Today I am very comfortable in my skin, am more outgoing, still friendly and just enjoying each new day!.
